Explore the cultural and natural treasures of Java on this 5 days tour of Yogyakarta and East Java. Visit the iconic Borobudur and Prambanan Temple, stroll through the vibrant Malioboro Street, and continue your journey to Surabaya by a scenic day train. Conclude your adventure with the breathtaking sunrise over Mount Bromo and a mesmerizing hike to Ijen Crater to witness its famous blue flames and sulfuric lake.
Day 1 : Yogyakarta – Borobudur
Pick up at Yogyakarta Airport or Train Station and start your journey. We will visit Malioboro Street to explore its vibrant atmosphere, local shops, and street food. Then make a stop at Beringharjo Market to experience traditional Javanese culture, shop for batik, and enjoy local snacks. In the afternoon, transfer to your hotel in Borobudur for check-in and relaxation.
Day 2 : Borobudur – Yogyakarta
After breakfast and check out hotel, we will visit Borobudur Temple to explore its magnificent architecture and serene surroundings. After the tour, we will drive back to Yogyakarta to Prambanan Temple, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and admire its intricate carvings and towering spires. After done, check in hotel.
Day 3 : Yogyakarta – Surabaya – Bromo
Transfer to Yogyakarta train station for your morning train to Surabaya. Upon arrival in Surabaya, we will transfer to Bromo and check in hotel. Free afternoon to explore the surrounding villages.
Day 4 : Bromo – Bondowoso
Departing from hotel at 2.30am with a jeep to the sunrise viewpoint and caldera tour. After done, back to hotel for breakfast and transfer to Bondowoso area for overnight.
Day 5 : Bondowoso – Ijen Crater – Ketapang Harbor
For blue flame, leave the hotel at 1am (direct check out), and drive to the starting point of the trek. The trekking will take 1.5 hours one way. After done, we will head back down and proceed to Ketapang Harbor as your drop off point, where you can continue your trip to Bali. Drop off back to Surabaya is also available.
