Orangutan sightings are highly likely, especially at Tanjung Harapan, Pondok Tanggui, and Camp Leakey. However, all wildlife encounters remain dependent on natural conditions and can never be guaranteed.

Yes. While the traditional houseboat is simple compared to a hotel, it is specifically designed for river expeditions in Tanjung Puting National Park and includes comfortable sleeping arrangements, meals, and basic facilities. Many travelers consider sleeping on the river surrounded by rainforest sounds to be one of the highlights of the trip.

Yes. Kakaban Lake is famous for its stingless jellyfish, allowing visitors to swim among them safely. To protect the fragile ecosystem, visitors are expected to follow local conservation guidelines.
Do I need diving certification for Derawan and Sangalaki?
No certification is required for snorkeling activities. However, certified divers may join optional diving excursions at additional cost.
