7 Days Highlights of Yunnan Tour (Private Tour)

Pick up at Kunming International airport, and then you’ll be transferred to downtown Kunming. Upon arrival, check in hotel.

After breakfast and check out hotel, we will proceed to visit Green Lake. Done strolling along the lake, we will continue the journey to the Stone Forest. Done marveling at the nature, in the late afternoon we will take a bullet train to Dali for overnight.

After breakast, transfer to Xizhou and join the three-course tea ceremony, which is a custom for Bai people to serve distinguished guests. Then we will drive to Zhoucheng, where various traditional customs are well preserved here, and we will visit a local tie dye workshop. After lunch, we will visit Erhai Lake and explore Dali Old Town, including the Foreigners’ Street, the Ancient City Wall of Dali, and the Gate Tower. After done, transfer back to hotel.

After breakfast and check out hotel, we will drive to Shangri La. On the way, we will make a brief stop to see the First Bend of Yangtze River and continue to visit the magnificent Tiger Leaping Gorge. Upon arrival in Shangri La, stroll around Dukezong Ancient Town and walk up to the top of Guishan Hill to see the Grand Prayer Wheel and have a panoramic view of Shangri-La city.

After breakfast, we will visit Songzanlin Monastery, the largest Tibetan monastery in Yunnan. Then we will visit Napahai Lake and pay a visit to a local Tibetan family and experience the highly-praised hospitality of Tibetan people.

After breakfast and check out, we will drive for about 3 hours to Lijiang. Upon arrival, visit 800-years-old Lijiang Old Town, UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage. Later, head for Black Dragon Pool Park and take some pictures of the fascinating Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Then we will visit Dongba Culture Museum and Baisha Village.

After breakfast and check out hotel, we will drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area. Here we will take the sightseeing bus to visit Blue Moon Valley. Then we will hop on to the chairlift to visit the Glacier Park (4500m) in the snow mountain
(Glacier Park is the most popular part of JDSM and the ticket might sell out in advance. If it is not availabe, then we will visit Spruce Meadow.)
After lunch, we will enjoy the Impression Lijiang Show directed by Zhang Yimou. It is held in Ganhaizi Meadow. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Lijiang Sanyi Airport for your next flight.
