Pick up at Pangkalan Bun Airport and then drive to Kumai. In Kumai, we will board the houseboat and cruising along Sekonyer River. Stopping at Tanjung Harapan Camp to see the afternoon orangutans’ feeding session. Then continue to cruise along the river to see proboscis monkey and other primates around.
We’ll have breakfast while cruising to Pondok Tanggui Camp for the morning feeding session. Then we’ll do a short trekking in the forest, before proceed to Camp Leakey. After lunch, see the orangutans’ afternoon feeding session at Camp Leakey. Then boat down to nipa palm area for overnight.
After early breakfast, boat down to Kumai then drop your luggage at the hotel before driving to Kudangan Village, which takes about 5 hours. Pass several villages, palm oil plantation, rubber plantation, local community’s plantation and forest. Upon arrival you will have a chance to walk around the village and observe the daily life. After dinner, the villagers will hit their gong or play one of their musical instruments and gather together for a simple welcome ceremony. Overnight at longhouse.
After breakfast, we can go to the forest and trek about for several hours. The villagers reject the palm oil plantation so the forest surrounding is still in good condition. After packing your luggage, drive back to Pangkalan Bun by car. Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun, transfer to hotel. Free program at your own leisure.

Visiting a tropical country, especially if you plan on heading to the jungle, yes, there’s always a risk for everything. But for now, you only advised to take anti-malarial tablets for precaution. Talking about mosquito borne disease, you should bring repellent that suits you, since dengue fever is more common here
While they might looked gentle, charming, and brilliant, orangutans are still a wild animals. By any chance that you get in a close contact with them, please refrain from touching them. You also are not allowed to feed them, or make loud noises.
