Pick up from agreed spot in Surabaya or Malang. Transfer to Ranu Pane Village for overnight.
Early morning after breakfast, we will start trekking to Ranu Kumbolo for 4-5 hours. We will take a rest here for lunch before continued the trip for 3 hours to Kalimati, where we will set up our camp for overnight.
Wake up at 01.00 am, start for climbs with hard trekking to the summit of Mount Semeru via Arcopodo and Cemoro Tunggal. Reach the crater’s rim in 4 hours hiking, and watch the sunrise if we arrive in early. After done, descend down back to Kalimati for breakfast and head back to Ranu Kumbolo for a rest and lunch. Then continue back to Ranu Pane and transfer to Tumpang village with a 4WD jeep, before heading back to Surabaya or Malang.
For Bromo, it’s more like a walk in the park. Only sandy. A lot more sandy. If you coming in on a weekend, be prepared for a great amount of crowd. We will try our best to find you a nice quiet spot for sunrise, but there’s still a chance that you’ll be in the middle of the crowds.
As for Ijen, it’s a little bit harder. There are several steep twist and turns, and during the dry season, it can be a bit dusty and slippery because of the sand gravel.
Yes. There’ll still be service up in the mountain, and the public areas of the hotels are covered with wi-fi.
